Nursing Services

Nursing Services

There is a direct connection between health and learning. To learn, students must be in school. The school nurse supports learning by assisting students/families to successfully manage health alterations that would otherwise result in loss of academic time. Other duties of the school nurse include:

  • Develop and maintain student health records
  • Maintain and update student immunization records
  • Plan and complete mandated screenings
  • Administer medication and perform medical treatments
  • Assist in the health program and student examinations
  • Provide first aid services

As a growing organization committed to excellence in school health services, our mission is to improve the health and welfare of the community by providing quality and cost effective medical, dental, psychological and health education services to school-age youth. Our goal is to provide information required to make healthy choices and connect families to resources that promote behaviors that enhance quality of life.
MACCS Health Services uses highly trained and professional nurses that have not only demonstrated the clinical competencies required for the job but also possess a love for children, a passion for learning and the desire to advance the mission of the facility being serviced. Nurses are available on a full or part-time basis and contracts are tailored to fit the specific needs and budget of the institution. We eliminate the work for administrators. Once you’ve become an affiliate, MACCS Health Services will take care of all of your school health needs. Contact us to learn more or to receive a quote for school nurse services.

  2.  Promoting a healthful and safe school environment
  3. Evaluating and determining the health status of students
  4. Serving as the health advocate for students therefore promoting the continued link between health and academic success

Substitute school nurse services are available to public, private, and parochial schools located in Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. Services are available on a short or long term basis – 1day to 6month placements. We offer a quality service at competitive prices.
